Something’s up – why did Gary Cohen say 42 seconds right away? It’s not…watch and count yourself

This is a still. The video is embedded below.

Here’s the clip from last night.  Now I don’t know from what point Gary is defining “42” seconds….he says “42 seconds”  at one minute 25 seconds into this video.

That should place the start of the “moment’ at 43 seconds, but if you watch the video (below) the Mets have been on the field for quite some time by that point.

So what would make Gary say 42 seconds?  It’s not 42 seconds.

We learn later in the press conferences that the narrative here is that they were on the field for 42 seconds.  I get the symbolism and all that….

But Gary must have known.  So why did SNY play coy on the pre-game show and the initial part of the broadcast that nobody knew what was about to happen?

Gary is too fast on the 42 seconds, and it’s not even accurate.  So he must have known.  And if he knew, who else knew?

If Gary was somehow counting to 42-missippi himself, how did he land on the exact number of the official version of events when it’s not an accurate count?

I’m not saying this is bad, I am saying that there is still more to this and that this was a lot more coordinated than we are being led to believe.

Gary seems to have known.  Explain it to me.

This on top of I am supposed to believe the GM spoke in front of a camera on a live microphone…..and I think the other person may have been the Mets director of communications….and the clip somehow winds up on Mets.com, and all that is an accident?

This appears to be much more coordinated at all levels including the TV partner who it seems may have chosen to play dumb until it happened.

We do not have the full story.
