Matz clearly had nothing. Time is ticking. There’s a minute 15 left in the 4th quarter and you’re down ten. Stop running the ball.
You can’t even use the “we couldn’t afford to burn the bullpen” excuse. You wound up using Kilome anyway. You wound up using five pitchers anyway including Todd Frazier.
Frazier was somehow the best pitcher of the night, with a clean inning and one strikeout, making him better than Matt Harvey by the way, but why was Todd still on the team?
The Mets had to kick Guillorme off the team to keep Lyin’ Todd around. Guillorme is hitting THREE FORTY SEVEN. Do we not need someone who can hit THREE FORTY SEVEN and play three infield positions?
Of course not, because the idiot on the right hired a former agent to run his team, and the former agent kept is former client Todd Frazier around because………..you tell me Steve?
As for Luis – look I thought you were going to be good at this but you have been managing the stretch like it’s May 10th and you’re giving the “it’s a long season” speech.
It’s not a long season, and EIGHT teams are going to the NL Playoffs, none of which will be called Mets.
Clean house Steve. All of them. Start over. Enough with the clown show. Get some experienced professionals in here to fix this.
