I am sad to learn about the passing of Tommy Lasorda.
Tommy was one of the figures in baseball that made baseball entertaining back when it used to be entertaining.
To the end of his life he was a bigger star than most of the people who pass as the “stars” of todays game. A larger than life character from a better time in baseball.
I don’t have any specific memories of Tommy as they pertain to the Mets, other than him being the guy on the winning end of that Dynasty Ending NLCS in 1988.
My thoughts and prayers to the Lasorda family. A live well lived.
