Sterling or Scully: Gary Cohen calls Vulgar Pete’s meaningless home run

Hey just like Pete padded his stats once the Mets were eliminated, Vulgar Pete was as it again, tacking on some points for the Mets to go up by six in the 9th.  Gary Cohen had the call.

That’s a nice proper call by Gary, avoiding any unnecessary track-walling.

Verdict: Scully

But unfortunately for Gary, he does have bad habits.  Here he slips in his track-walling and works in that the OFer is “near the wall” when obviously the ball is ten rows deep.

Under the rules of Sterling or Scully calls must be either/or.  There are no partials.  It’s a good call or it is not.  This is not.

Verdict:  Sterling
