There was a time when you guys were into The Dark Knight and Thor that I coined Jacob deGrom as the One True Ace, but that mantle has now passed. If I had to win ONE GAME, and that one game is tonight….
I would go with Max. I know that he occasionally gives ups HR (like JDG did last night) but I feel like Max has that extra gear all the greats have where he will dig down deep and figure it out.
Also, welcome to OCTOBER BASEBALL! We rarely get that in Queens – and Meaningful October Baseball is even rarer (sometimes we get a play-out-the-season October 3rd game in Miami). This is pretty darn meaningful, although it would be a lot more fun if some idiot hadn’t added wild cards. THEN it would be amazing.
Anyway, the game is on Fox tonight so be ready to be annoyed. And tomorrow you get ESPN up against a pretty interesting Chiefs-Bucs game on NBC.
Enjoy the lousy weather. For all the times I tell you not to waste a sunny day, these are the days you can park in front of the TV. Oh and for your planning purposes – there are only three NFL 4pm games tomorrow and they suck. Save your chores of late afternoon.
