Baseball couldn’t sell out #TheseMets playoff games in New York City, 6 Padres Fans defeat Army, where is Steve?

Enjoy the wrapped Subway Cars for the next month in one of the all time great embarrassing marketing campaigns…..you’re rubbing it in your own faces for a month lol.

Hello baseball mafia. You don’t find this odd?

Baseball not selling out in New York City?  And you’re going to keep telling the sport is not dying?

Luckily CBS Sports are still free-thinkers…and anything I excerpt here is aware there was a pandemic, so some of the pandemic related stats are thrown out.

2022’s attendance number was the lowest for the league since 1997, when attendance was 63,168,689 across the league.

Even when throwing out 2020, when no fans were in attendance, the MLB has seen a decline in attendance in nine consecutive seasons.

The last time the MLB had an increase in attendance was from 2011 to 2012 — but total attendance has dropped 14% since then. (via CBS Sports)

….

In other news, the T-Shirt Army is mad at me because I pointed out they seemed pretty quiet last night.  I was watching the 9th inning and I heard a pretty loud “Let’s Go Padres” chant….but nothing from the We Struck Him Out people.  Media Goon claimed it was a conspiracy in that ESPN had obviously miked the 6 Padres fans but not the Army.  Riiiiight.   To me, it seems like 6 Padres fans took your corner.

You don’t hear from Steve Cohen much after losses.
