Rats, it turns out baseball IS still boring after all without great starting pitching

Look MLB, I appreciate that you tried.

I enjoyed Opening Day.  It had some buzz and the game moved along.

Friday Night felt like a typical Mets-Marlins slog of a game but at least it was an hour shorter than usual.  However, something was missing.  I did think about bailing but I hung in there (while playing on my phone).

Yesterday, I bailed on your sporting contest.  Watching Tylor Megill and Marlins Pitcher Guy struggle with their control  got really tedious and I bailed and watched The Night Agent on Netflix.  Day 3 and I already don’t care. The game also was 2 hours and 54 minutes which is 2022 good but 2023 terrible.

I think this, as always, comes down to your sport being as interesting as the Starting Pitcher – and I say this to you knowing that you think Openers are a good idea, which they are NOT if you want your sport to survive.   Tell me Seaver or Gooden or Matt Harvey or JDG are on the mound – hey there’s something to watch.  Max? Great, let’s watch. Verlander will be interesting. Senga Day hopefully can become an event.

But Peterson Day?  Megill Day?  Marlins 4th Starter Day?  That seems extremely unattractive.

Today’s 1:40?  I dunno man. I kinda wanna see Senga, but I also kinda wanna play video games (ironically, the baseball video game) and I don’t think I want to stop my day at 1:40pm. (Let’s just have Sunday Night Baseball for Everyone, every week!!!!)  Maybe I will second screen it.
