Look guys, how much proof do you need to believe baseball doesn’t care about fans. Let’s start with this guy…
And yet some of you root for him. Why? He doesn’t like you. How clear does he have to make it?
Anyway, I saw many Mets fans bothered by the 4 hour rain delay. It didn’t bother me at all because I stopped watching baseball last year after the combined no-hitter. It’s very easily to follow along just by skimming a few tweets and you get hours and hours of time back, rather than slugging through a game, multitasking on twitter just to keep things interesting.
As for today’s schedule – the split doubleheader is obviously insane. You are asking Saturday night fans to come on Mother’s Day for 6 innings or whatever it is. You’re asking people who bought tickets for 1:30pm to come to a game at 4:30pm….and who knows how they will turn over the stadium and the parking lot with that short a window.
I plan to watch none of it. I have zero baseball stress, and I’m not funding people who don’t like us. Enjoy the game(s) if that’s what makes you happy.
