It actually makes more sense to me to go to Florida to see a game than to see one in Queens. I was talking to a friend last night who said he’d rather go see the NFL in Germany than the Meadowlands – because Germany is an Event and you make a trip of it. That’s how I feel about the Mets. Wasting 7 hours to and from Queens with a boring baseball game in the middle is unappealing. Sitting out in the sun in early march after a cold winter….and you can do other things than baseball, that’s fun.
The Mets are apparently using “Mailing List A” today and only ending this to their Mainstream Media friends which is weird because what’s Keith Hernandez going to do with this, and both the News and Times barely cover sports. Anyway, I have acquired the info anyway and share it with you.
This schedule kinda sucks – if you want to fly down on a Saturday and make the game (easily done, done it myself) and fly back Sunday. Hitting a Sunday game with airport to come is more stressful. Where are the Saturday home games?
