The Mets are surveying the season ticket holders

In a new survey, the Mets are asking the season ticket holders questions like What day are you most (or least) likely to use your tickets…..do giveaways matter to you….and paraphrasing here, if we gave stuff away on the days you don’t like attending, would you attend more?

For the most part it’s boring but I found this slide the most interesting.

I can’t imagine why anyone would want tickets to 81 baseball games.  It only makes sense to me if you are a company using them to wine and dine clients….or maybe you’re so rich that a 5 figure spend is nothing to you.  Just the idea of having to do anything every other day for 6 months seems like a burden to me.

Anyway the Mets are not committed to winning championships, I don’t feel welcomed at games, I do have an emotional connection, the organization is not heading in the right direction, and the whole thing seems to be about opening a casino anyway.

….

In other news, yes Pete Alonso had a big game.  TWO home runs.  He will have another big game this week, because that’s how he plays. That stat line will look good in the end.   The Mets have lost 6 of 7, and I believe Pete started all 7 games.  Streaky doesn’t win championships.  Trade Pete.  Do it, while we still have time.
