Die Hard, stop complaining and renew your tickets Mets fans!

There seems to be a lot of discussion about ticket renewal plans out in Queens.  Hey guys, I don’t know what you want here – I wrote about how Steve should be worried about the die hards losing interest and everyone got mad at me.  Less than 24 hours later people are upset that things like the below appear to be happening, as told to The Media Goon by one fan.

new for 2024… half season plan holders… we took away your full postseason
strip access, thanks for your loyalty… Thanks mets, this may now be the end
of my season tickets. Half season holders only get half postseason strip
options… my seat location was always subject to moving around
which is fine and i understand but having full strip access was always by
selling point… just spoke to my rep and he confirmed it only full
season members can purchase full strips up front. After that whater
is left will then be offered to other plan holder… 41 games isnt enough
anymore lol.
That same fan apparently tells Media Goon that the “unused game ticket exchange program has been discontinued.”
Yesterday we learned that “For non-premium members, this differentiated membership platform will freeze prices for 43 percent of seats for the 2024 season” which by my calculations means 57% are not flat – but hey maybe that 57% is going down.
I also heard a price point about parking which I haven’t confirmed, but if true it’s a big enough jump that even the newspapers will pay attention.
Anyway, as you saw in Uncle Steve’s tweet back to me – the new rules have made baseball fun, and the team is getting younger.  Plus we have the new expanded club and the Mets Marketing guy wants to turn a day at Citi Field into an event, rather than a baseball game accompanied by organ music where you and your friend have a leisurely conversation over a beer and hot dog.   That would be insane.
So stop complaining and renew your tickets.  You all told me how die-hard you were.   I read your Facebook posts and tweets.  So die hard, and renew.
