Giancarlo Stanton has hit 22 homers for the Yankees this season, five fewer than Alonso but in 42 fewer games. Mark Vientos, the Mets’ young third baseman, has hit 20 homers in 81 games for his team. That’s 48 fewer games than Alonso, who has played all 129.
Man, I don’t know the Mets could ever replace Pete Alonso. At least they have this MVP Francisco Lindor leading them to the 4th Wild Card. Did all the media get their talking points last night? Every article is Lindor MVP…but never forget Mets fans…never forget….
