Where is David Wright?
It occurred to me at 5am that as part of the Old Timers’ Day announcement, David Wright was not mentioned.
Why not?
Mike Piazza appears to be grabbing the traditional “Franchise” role held by Tom Seaver, and I don’t think it is his to take.
David, where are you? Why are you letting Mike be Mr. Met? David has been so invisible that it took me almost a full day to even notice he wasn’t coming. Out of sight, out of mind.
Why isn’t David Wright, 39, coming to Old Timers’ Day if Daniel Murphy, 36, is? Look, we all know that David is physically unable to play, but come out and wave, and take back the throne from Mike.
