495: It’s not just a highway that takes you near Citi Field

I’d like to welcome the rest of you to the “season’s over” club.   It’s not a club I want to be in.

Tuesday morning I let everyone know it was open, most of you were talking about “2 out of 3” but I think you are now all prepared to come along.

Baseball does have a clock, and it runs out October 3rd.

The Mets are playing .495 ball and 8 back…but if you still believe the Braves & Phillies will both play .500 ball while the Mets play .670 go right ahead.

I don’t see how it is in any way acceptable that this team is below .500 on August 7th.   The organization cannot hide behind injuries this time.

Even the Philly media is surprised the Mets lost.

The fans are restless again.   On Facebook (you’ll have to be logged in) some are organizing a “Mets Fan CitiField Sit Out” for August 25th.   As I’ve said in the past, I choose not to be part of organized boycotts of the team.  That’s a personal decision for each of you.

Metsmerized wishes Tom Seaver would buy the Mets.  No chance.

Meanwhile over at On the Black, Kerel not only shares his thoughts about trading Wright or Reyes….but his technology totally kicks my tail.   He’s got a pre-roll ad on his videos, not to mention his cool video technology.   I like what Kerel does…a nice “different” blog…I gotta sneak a peek at his wallet next time I see him.
