The 1994 New York Mets Yearbook cover

Man, these last two years have been a disaster.  The only thing worse than those seasons would be no Mets games at all.

I don’t recall this yearbook nor this patch.  I may have to call the Batphone (Faith and Fear) for some info on this patch.

Don’t you think that tiny NY on the ball logo

a) is really expensive to reproduce or

b) causes people from not-NY to like the Mets?  They should remove that from the logo to get more fans from Dallas or Wyoming.

  1. There was baseball in 94? I don’t seem to recall. I think I was too busy watching the NY Rangers win the Stanley Cup. And then I was in a dream state all the way through till 95

    1. Actually, there was only part of a season in 94 and no World Series. Don’t worry the Mets weren’t harmed by that.

As for the little NY, as you might expect, I try to never buy any item featuring that logo, unless it has the NY. The logo without it is FUGAZY. Only the complete idiot who put the underline on would feel compelled to remove it.

  2. This was the year I started my Sat package (which I kept until 2008 – f them, did not buy at Citi). I remember the yearbook well as that year is the first year I attended many games, and I often go back to it to confirm that my Mezz tickets did in fact only cost $12. Same price as Lodge, actually. lol – imagine!

(Really love those mostly empty stadium days. As a bonus, no line to get out of the parking lot after the games!)
