When we recently discussed the Mets ticket pricing some folks questioned if $5 Yankees tickets exist. They do, and will for 2011. We can debate at a later time if it is worth paying $5 to get in and then not be able to see half the OF.
LoHud has more about the ticket increases (Bleachers go to $15).
Back to Mets Talk…
I never doubted that they existed, I saw the website marked these tickets. People were telling me that these tickets exist for something other than half-field view seats.
In 2009 for sure I sat in the uppers for $5, I think I sat in the upper wings for $5 in 2010.
These must have been special/coupon days or something though right? Can’t find them on the website implies they’re not “normal” ticketing prices.
$5 gets you in, then you can go stand behind home plate. It’s a great deal. Mets have a great upper deck, the kind of upper deck the Yankees used to have, but the Mets don’t have everyday cheap seats, like they aughta. $10 bucks should be enough to get you into somewhere at Citi.
Agreed…why not sell standing room only for $10?
The $5 yankees uppers are special deals, but there are plenty of them to go around and they are available to everyone for numerous games. “Value” games if you will.
The seats (Citi Field) right under the visiting score board should be $5 dollars, or definitely not the full current price charged for those seats. I sat there once, and the views were abysmal due to that overhead score board, it cut your view in half.
Those seats are AWFUL and should be $5
