I love this shot. A few things jump out…
– look at the message on the scoreboard. Those used to go up one letter at a time, 80’s video game style. If you wanted an X you had to scroll A,B,C,D…X. There would often be tons of typos.
– I love the distribution of the crowd. I wonder if it was a camp day?
– note that the American League scores are on the right hand side of the scoreboard.
– the Herald Tribune went out of business in 1966. Advertising at Shea cannot save you.
