how about this..if the mets had given wayne garret third base instead of trading for joe foy,trade swoboda and platoon future star amos otis with art shamsky.platoon clendennon with future star ken singelton,platoon agee with future home run threat john milner,nottrade nolan ryan. (phew). in 1972 the mets would have had the monster squad in the N.L. east.
the rotation of seaver,koosman,matlack and ryan makes me wanna cry.
