If you can say one thing about the Post, it’s this: They were trolling the Mets long before trolling the Mets was cool.
I’m enjoying this treasure trove of Met clippings, but I’m also reminded how much I couldn’t stand the writing of the late Mike McAlary.
That was such a BS rule. White Sox lose a player to free agency to the Angles I think and the Mets pay for it.
cashen made the right decision. I believe they were only allowed to protect 25 players. It was a stupid rule.
It’s interesting. If Seaver is on the 84’s does Gooden make the team…..and is that a good or bad thing if Doc matures in the minors a tad longer.
