Hi Shannon-
Long time reader first time e-mailer (ha) but I have an issue with the new party area. I was at the game tonight and I don’t think it is right that the retired numbers are partially blocked by people in the area. Throughout the game most numbers (especially Seaver’s) were blocked by fans. Don’t you think they should be moved to a clearer (i.e. more respectable) location? I know I am nitpicking, but just a thought.Thanks,

This hadn’t crossed my mind at all, and I think they are fine where they are. In fact I liked being able to touch them. If you want to see how not to display your retired numbers then head up to Fake Replica Yankee Stadium and check out the awful centerfield area.
The Mets may want to consider making the colors on the retired numbers consistent with the teams branding and color scheme.
And move the garbage can. If Seaver sees that he’ll round up Sandy and the other Marines and storm someone’s office.
