Got an email from someone visiting NYC who wanted to take a tour of Citi Field. He couldn’t find any dates, so he emailed the Mets. According to this fellow the Mets said no dates are scheduled for the foreseeable future.
I checked the schedule this morning and don’t see any dates.
I’m not saying this is bad or stupid Mets, just interesting. Logically I can see where there wouldn’t be much demand for a tour and it’s not like there is a mall right next door to visit when you’re done.
It’s also possible they haven’t done tours in 4 years and I just never noticed.
Educate me folks…

If you are reading this I am out of the country which means @mediagoon is in charge for the next few days. Email him with anything pressing.
Usually when I take these trips all hell breaks loose so expect the Mets to announce they won’t be on the radio ever again or that a giant gorilla was throwing barrels off a skyscraper and one hit Zack Wheeler or something Metsian.
At least the Mets know to pre-order bobbleheads.
I went on the tour last year at the end of the season. Surprised they don’t continue it. Both the Cubs and Nats had tours early morning on game days, I thought that was neat. Tiur and then game all in one visit.
A friend had a tour earlier in the year so must be something new for now. Shame. One would think these guys would do anything they could to try and accomodate fans and sell stuff.
They were offering tours this year, I saw ads for them. They only did it on weekends when the mets are away.
