I think I brought this up sometime during the season…someone wrote into the Times asking why Chrysler would run ads about their winning brand being tied to the Mets winning brand.
The Times answers at length but here’s an excerpt:
But “the dealers love the Mets,†Ms. Tinson (Chrysler spokesman) says, which are “still one of the most popular teams in baseball and still have a lot of devoted fans.â€
