#imwith28*

#imwith28
#imwith28* but not on everything

Good morning,

I have decided to use the hashtag #imwith28* including the asterisk for the duration of Spring Training.

I think it would be weird if I stopped with my #imwith28’ing but I also wish to separate myself from some of Daniel’s comments.  As I wrote in this post the other day I don’t agree with his comments, but I also don’t believe he was speaking from hate.  Ignorance, but not a place of hate,

So I will #imwith28* when he’s at bat, or does something fun, or makes an error, or you guys bust my chops with some Dilson Herrera nonsense.

I continue to reserve the right to modify my opinions as circumstances change, but this is how I feel this morning.

  1. I, also, do not agree with his comments but, it is not from ignorance. He is expressing his religious beliefs. We don’t agree with it but that doesn’t make it ignorant. It is sad that so many people feel as he does but it is very difficult to change religious idealogy.

  2. Religious doctrine and faith often never intersect with common sense or modern convention. Murphy is entitled to live his way of life — as are others, no matter who they love, whether Murphy likes it or not. We want Murphy to do well on the field. We want the team to do well on the field. No one complained too loudly that the ’86 Mets, excepting Carter, Mookie and a few others, were carousers. They won. That’s really what it comes down to. They should shut up and play. And win.

  3. This is still the United States, and Dan Murphy is personally allowed to believe whatever he wants to, period!!  I’M W/28, TOO!!!

  4. all I can say as to the good that would come out of this is that maybe people will finally one day wake up in this country and realize that we all must speak up in order to prevent our most basic fundamental rights as Americans from being systematically taken away from us by the PC left-wing fascists who apparently don’t believe in free speech, including speech that they disagree with.

  5. all i can say  is that we must all speak up to prevent our most basic fundamental free speech rights from being systematically taken away from us by those that clearly don’t believe in free speech.
