Security Theater comes to Tradition Field

Again, I’m glad MLB wants us safe because they want us back, and I am definitely not here to give the bad guys ideas, but I can think of tons or reasons why putting my keys through a metal detector won’t stop the bad guys from accomplishing their goals.

Also baseball continues to sell alcohol.  More disturbances at baseball games are caused by alcohol than people bringing in assault rifles…but that’s a conversation for another day.

Still not sure why baseball isn’t taking the sneaker threat seriously.  Everyone should have to take their shoes off before entering, just like at the airport.

Everyone entering Tradition Field will walk through metal detectors, and fans no longer will be able to re-enter the stadium if they leave. Fans also will need to walk through security to watch public workouts, which begin Tuesday.
