SLACKISH REACTION: The Mets got destroyed by the Marlins 7-2 in a game I barely watched. I saw the start but then had a soccer game and correctly predicted-ish it would be “8-1” when I got back, You could just tell. I did see the bottom of the 9th and the Mets looked like they just wanted to go home.
Depending on which newspaper you like, either the Mets should be OK with last night’s Wheeler start or should be worried. Since the newspapers can’t even agree on #TheNarrative why bother reading it?
If the season ended today, which of course it does not – the Mets would not win the NL East and would be in a massive tie for the second wild card.
Jose Reyes is now 1-18. And he plays third like I do. But man he has that great smile so let’s just pretend he walked, stole second and third and scored on a sac-fly and that it’s 2006 and Obama is president. (BTW your 2006 fantasy is so long ago that Obama wasn’t even President yet)
