Gil Must Go: bahahahah Gil moved Terrific to mop-up for the 1969 Met lol!

This is great!  I can’t even get mad that the Cubs swept us at home because once again I’m right and you idiots are wrong.  Did you see who got banished to mop-up?  Terrific himself!  Bahahahaha.

So much for being the best player this team will ever have (listen to yourselves you crazies) – he had to come in after the horse left the barn….mopping up in the 9th, and he walks the first guy.   So Terrific.   Unreal.

The good news is maybe Gil figured out that 5 man rotations are insane and that he should have Kooz out there every 4th day like a normal manager would.

The shocking thing is the Mets didn’t get swept!  It was Jim McAndrew in Game 2, and you know how that usually goes, but Jim threw 5 shutout innings before Gil realized he was plain with fire and got him the hell out.   Nice job by McGraw pitching the final 4 innings.

The day felt endless.  The first game was almost three hours, and the second 2:28.   I don’t know 37,000 people lasted 6 hours watching baseball.    I’m surprised the Mets don’t play even more doubleheaders since they always get a god crowd.

7 and 11, 6 back.  Pretty much what you would have settled for coming in.

Off day today, and then in Canada tomorrow.  That’s gonna be weird.  Still not sure why that team isn’t the Montreal Royals and KC couldn’t have made something else.  Baseball should do a better job honoring Jackie Robinson’s legacy and that would have been a nice way to do it.
