Heads Up: the Mets expect parking challenges and fewer parking spaces for Saturday Night’s Mets game

Hello all – a heads up that there could potentially be parking challenges.  The Mets are trying to get word to fans so that folks have a great experience coming out to the game.  I think this is a fantastic job by the Mets as we all know it can be frustrating sitting in traffic or even worse being late for the game.   So plan ahead….even you @mediagoon, you can take a subway for once.

My friends the Mets say….

“We strongly encourage fans attending Saturday’s Mets game to use mass transit, or rideshare services such as Uber, as a result of fewer available parking spaces due to the following:

•An expected large crowd for the game that night vs. Milwaukee at 7:10pm

•Reduced parking in Lot C due to setup for Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA show (which is running May 3 to June 9)

•Other scheduled events in the vicinity of Citi Field and Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Fun fact – searching your 11 year old blog for images involving “car” doesn’t turn up cars but lots of CARter and baseball CARds and Mr. Met on the red CARpet.  The Mets didn’t say this part.
