SLACKISH REACTION: It’s yet another nothing day in Queens. The big story is that Baseball Operations Expert Jessica Mendoza (of CAA) is no longer with the Mets.
I keep getting hung up on that she was with the team for like a year, and I have zero idea what she did. There was the one time we saw her doing Mets Stuff (below) but even this, I don’t know what this is.
I am not saying she was bad (or good). I don’t know.
Nobody seems to know. A year went by and I never saw acting about her. It’s very hard to not think this was just CAA Agent hooking up CAA Client with a gig that probably paid well.
Maybe she made an awesome contribution, but the Mets sure didn’t tell anyone about it.
Also, her leaving the Mets and her “promotion” off Sunday Night Baseball at ESPN has nothing do with her commenting on Cheatgate. Why would you think that? I don’t think that, do you?
