What should we make of this Mets Florida cap and this green cap?
Good morning.
I popped on the Mets shop and saw the two below caps. Fashion caps I assume. Begin reckless speculation!
You of course read Uni Watch every day, and in today’s column Paul shows some other Spring designs (basically looks like last year) so I don’t think this is an on-field cap of any kind. But hey, begin reckless speculation!
At a higher level – isn’t it odd that the Mets don’t say anything about caps. Has there been an official announcement of any kind about the new caps that are on sale in the Mets’ own store?
I have stopped following @Mets on twitter because it had dumbed down to “That feeling when…” memes that are just a waste of electrons on my timeline, but I just skimmed it and don’t see a mention of the caps. Isn’t that odd?
Anyway, I will ask some Mets Executives about this, and you can ask Paul Lukas and the Uniscenti tomorrow at the Queens Baseball Convention. Get Tickets!
Anyways, while poking around the store, I found this. This too I assume is a fashion cap as MLB usually makes a BFD about the league wide St. Patrick’s Day templates. Hopefully the Mets will not break out the caps that reinforce Irish stereotypes.
Behold, new Mets caps on sale at Mets store (Mets caps Mets)

Kojak co-star in cool Mets hat…40 years ago anyway
Here’s Dave with an awesome share. This makes sense since Kevin Dobson grew up in Jackson Heights, which made him a local hero in those days.
