Florida Met Fan Rich was one of the folks in-line yesterday and was kind enough to email in these shots (click on any for a bigger version).  He said 300 or so folks were in-line.

I got a little scared when I saw the title of the email was “Stalin renovations” but I suspect that was an iPhone correction. The Wilpons arent that bad.  Must be Stadium renovations..

Rich says, “Right field bleachers gone…..gonna be seats and Pickford area…..full access from berm to stadium!”

If you missed it, I announced the new weekly newsletter which you can find out about here and you can sign-up in the sidebar of the main page.

Daily News article about the 1962 Mets

The Daily News decided to compare the ’62 Mets to a team that has David Wright, Ike Davis, Daniel Murphy, Jason Bay and Johan Santana. which is annoying, but there’s a few fun stories about Casey in there so it’s worth reading.

He made a scheduling announcement to the team one day that went like this, Miller recalls: “There will be two buses to the park from the hotel. The two o’clock bus is for those who need a little extra work and then there will be an empty bus leaving at five o’clock.”
