I ask you, as you freeze your fanny off night after night, wouldn’t this be better?
It amazes me that this area built three new parks, none with a retractable dome.
I like the sky and I like grass and I like outdoor baseball.
I don’t like freezing in my seats nor do I like getting rained on.

Re: Marty Noble and the Mo’s Zone
Hi – earlier today I had a post up about Marty Noble’s suggestion that the Mets remove the Mo’s Zone and fill it in with seats – and how that may help David Wright.
I agree!
Unfortunately, something in that post was causing people’s virus scanners to trip – so rather than get my site banned by Google I have deleted the post. Sorry if you took the time to think out some comments, but like I said I can’t risk gettng banished.
Anyways – if you want to read the story (I’m afraid to link now) google “Marty Noble” and click the news tab. It should be the first story.

I think it’s a good idea. The Mo’s Zone doesn’t enhance the ballpark.

CEETAR: Not that I care if they moved it in a bit, but he’s wrong. Wright had a ‘fighting chance’ to hit 30 home runs last year, and like ALL power hitters, his best power is to the pull side, like his home run last night. That he can hit it out to the opposite field is just an added bonus to being an extremely talented baseball player.
PAUL: I wouldn’t mind losing the Mo Zone alcove, but I wouldn’t make the adjustment just to make one player happy. The Mets’ hitting issues at Citi Field are caused by the poor teams they’ve fielded, not the ballpark design.
PHIL: i don’t know about shortening the fences, but how about lowering that ridiculous giant wall in left field?
I’m not sure what the original dimensions of the first new shea proposals were, but i liked them when i first saw them (and the roof wouldn’t have sucked either) — could have gone to last nights’ game for six bucks, but 38 & windy is no fun
FORMERDIRTDART: I could swear, a couple years ago, around the time of the move across the parking lot, I read most of Wright’s HRs went to right-center at Shea.
Personally, I think they should put the damn HR “line” back on the top of the outfield wall. They could keep the line straight across the front of the HR Apple though. I think that silly line has only been involved in one HR last year, and pretty sure it was an opponents
CEETAR: We could probably look it up somewhere, but I’ve fairly certain there hasn’t been a player in major league history that’s hit more home runs (in a reasonable sample size) to the opposite field.

And back to me now that I have time.
Maybe that space could be some sort of super-low-to-the-field awesome bleacheresque section. I’d make it a cheap ticket (thus high demand, and thus a “thing”) but I imagine the Mets would charge a high price and then watch them go empty.
