Mets: Season Ticket Holder All Star Game Invoices Are Out

2013_All-Star_Game_Logo

The season ticket holder sent this to me said that their price for their seat is $723.00 a piece in Sect 514. Now that is a lot more then I figured for seats up there. I had figured that there would be about $500-600 cap on each ticket in the promenade sections.Guess I was off be a hundred or two or three. Now I don’t know what the other prices are yet throughout the stadium yet, but if any of our readers know feel free to put them in the comment section. Underneath is the email sent out to the season ticket holders.

You can watch The Mets Police Awards reBroadcast right now right here

Hi, guys. I am sure Shannon has written his post already about how much fun the Award Show/Fan get together was and his thoughts on it. So I just want to thank everyone who came out and supported us and I hope everyone enjoyed it like we did. I apologize now to you fine folks for not having music cued up and ready to go as soon as @lagranderusty accepted his award. MY BAD.

Anyhoo, I decided to use Ustream to broadcast the awards live Saturday night.I was able to record it while we were filming and it is on the Ustream site as we speak. One problem though, for some reason it doesn’t seem like it can be played on smartphones from Ustream.

Here is the Ustream feed:

And if that doesn’t work here is a version I put on vimeo that isn’t as good
but is still viewable if you do not want to sit at a computer to watch it.

Shannon here – what I think makes the most sense for the readers is that I am going to save most of my recapping for Monday (when people can digest text and pictures at work) so that the post gets read…but since it is harder to watch 20 minutes of video at work we’ll share that with you today!

I think the event worked really well – more on that tomorrow – and thanks to Media Goon and Darren for pushing the idea – and Media Goon for doing all the actual work.

This was all for fun, we aren’t that full of ourselves. Just enjoy it for what it was – a cool hangout of Mets fans in the middle of winter.

More recaps tomorrow, probably links to other bloggers’ recaps, and a few awards that we didn’t think would work at the live ceremony.

2012 Mets Recollections with Media Goon

Happy New year. Last year was a very weird year. Wright becomes the all time Mets hits leader, Johan gets the Mets No Hitter (Shannon no matter what you say, that’s not where Johan’s season got messed up.It’s where his ankle got stepped on covering first base), and RA Dickey won 20 games, the NL CY YOUNG, and then got dealt to Toronto.

I was there for Opening Day,the No Hitter, Wright becoming the hits leader and also for Dickey’s 20th win. I ended up going to forty-five games last year. Twenty of them were from my season ticket plan, another twenty I either bought from the box office or stub hub, two I got from friends, and three from the Mets( two of those times it was blogger night and one I won tickets in a contest).

Was it a great season overall, eh. The Mets teased us with a fiery first half, then started playing to the teams real level. There were some historic moments which were awesome. And just having a group of friends to hang with at the stadium during the games helped get through the crappy moments in games.

Seeing the new dropshadowless jerseys on the field, the very limited use of the black jerseys and the hybrid caps disappearing were some other great things to see happen during the Mets 50th Anniversary year. The long overdue announcement of the 2013 All Star Game at CitiField was finally made, Banner Day returned and the Mets honored former players with bobble head days. Hell, John Franco was even inducted into the Mets HOF.

Here is another great thing that happened this year. The addition of the Pat Lafrieda Steak Sandwich to the CitiField concessions.

Here is some video I shot from Dickey’s 20th Win
