Spiderman at Shea Stadium Video

Spidey and MJ were married at Shea Stadium a few decades ago(1987 to be exact). That is right I said decades ago. But they aren’t married anymore due to a being from Hell wiping out their marriage- Don’t ask.

So here is the video from that day that no longer exists at Shea Stadium. But if it doesn’t exist how do I have this video?AAAAAGGGGHHHH MY HEAD.

Little note, Spidey also made his debut in 1962 just like the Mets.

Got the video after Gothamist tweeted it out. See their story here.

Piazza Bobble Head

So here is the last of the 50th Anny Bobble Heads…Piazza Swinging away in Hybrid helmet and snow white jersey.

By the Way, can you guys tell who is away by the amount of posts I have been doing?

KnuckleBall The Documentary- RA Dickey

Filmed throughout the 2011 season with extraordinary access from Major League Baseball, the story follows 37 year-old R.A. Dickey (New York Mets, now a 2012 All-Star) and 18-year veteran Tim Wakefield (now retired), the oldest player in the major leagues and an icon of the Boston Red Sox. Knuckleball! details their personal and professional triumphs of the season, while exploring the bond between these two active pitchers and their only allies, the five living retired knuckleballers: Hall of Famer Phil Niekro, Charlie Hough, Wilbur Wood, Jim Bouton and Tom Candiotti. Knuckleball! tells the story of these extraordinary men, and the sacrifices they made to a pitch that would come to define their lives.

The film will be coming to VOD on September 18th and the IFC Theater in NYC on September 20th.

There are two showings for charity at the IFC theater for Sept 20th. Get tickets here. The movie will also have regular screenings at the IFC all week.

Ghost Town -Citi Field

I went to the Mets vs the Rockies at Citi Field last night. It really was a ghost town. All the “busier” concession stands that always have lines were not as busy as usual. I walked by the pastrami sandwich stand. They usually have two lines set up with a good amount of people standing on them. They had one line and only four customers lined up. Keith’s Grill(which I personally don’t think the burgers are that great) had no one on line the three times I walked by it. That stand on field level always has folks on line.

Pat La Frieda Steak Sandwich stand(my personal fav now.knocking off the pastrami in the # 1 spot) – I flew through it in 30 seconds. Last couple of times it was a 10 minute wait. Even the Shake Shack wasn’t as busy as normal, it still had a big line but not the usual I give up line.

It seems to me the interest in this Mets team for this year is over. I still have five games left in my 20 game plan. I won’t be in town this weekend to use my tickets for Saturday. My buddy Randy from Readtheapple.com is going to use my tix and get me a Piazza Bobble head so I can complete my 50th anniversary collection. I might go to tonight’s game. I still love spending time at the park maybe I will see some of you there.
