Justin Turner Tweets Los Mets Jersey

@redturn2
Justin Turner
Sweet uni’s tonight for latin aka hoary reyes night!

Justin Turner has a filter on this pic, so you can’t see the blue and orange on both the jersey and the Traditional caps. Great jerseys Mets. One suggestion though. Lose the LOS on it and you have a solid alternate jersey to replace the black ones.

Mets Alumni Thank The Vets Luncheon

The Mets and Citi had a thank you luncheon to show appreciation to U.S. Veterans and to honor Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the country’s first and largest non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to improving the lives of the more than 2.2 million veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and their families.

Here are some pics from the event. I will be working on some videos later for the site.

Click the thumbnails for full pics.

Tom Seaver and Ralph Kiner will be joined by fellow Mets alumni Bud Harrelson, Ed Kranepool, Ed Charles and Joe Pignatano in a panel moderated by Howie Rose

Los Mets Jerseys Tonight

Little things like this make my day. Actually things like this tend to ruin Shannon’s day, which then ends up making my day. THE RETURN of th LOS METS Jersey.

This is from the Majestic Facebook page.

Jersey alert! For their game against the Braves tonight, the Mets are wearing jerseys that read ‘Los Mets’ across the the front. Be sure to check your local retailers and MLB.com for your ‘Los Mets’ jerseys, wordmark tee and Name & Number tees.

And here is a comment from the post on that page.

P.C.- Oh lovely. This garbage again. Los Mets should go the way of the Mercury Mets.

Seriously though. I am not a fan of these jerseys either. If the Mets want to honor hispanic heritage there has to be some other way then LOS METS on the jerseys.
