Okay I am Really Tired of This

I am telling you HEX. Can the Mets get any more bad press? This isn’t even their fault. Is the Mets name just going to be associated with swindlers and crooks? Can’t we start saying that he was a Phillies player now? . I am really seeing a Hex written all over this organization now.Lenny Dykstra in the news again

The bankrupt ex-ballplayer was arrested at his EncinoCalif., residence Thursday night on suspicion of felony grand theft auto for allegedly “stealing” multiple cars using fraudulent applications, a Los Angeles police spokeswoman told the Daily News.

Read more about it here from the Daily News. I don’t even want to read any more myself. Uggggh. I think I need a break from sports. When’s Fast Five coming out?

Another Double Header

I am starting to go with my theory that someone has put a curse on the Mets more and more. All this rain and two double headers in three days. HEX I say its  HEX.

John Ricco commented on the fact the Mets have to play another double header tomorrow.

“It’s the home team’s call,” Ricco said. “There’s a lot of rules involved in scheduling. There’s one person on the planet who knows, and that’s [MLB’s] Katy Feeney. It ends up being their call, and this is what worked out for them. Obviously it puts us in a little bit of a tough position, but we’ll be fine. … There’s a lot of factors that come in. Any reschedule there’s issues down the road for both teams. Even though we do play them a couple of more times, there’s issues with their travel at that point. There’s how many games you start playing in a row. You don’t really like to push it to the last series because then if something happens you have nowhere to go. So there are a lot of moving parts that go to it.”

Asked if he thought about the Braves were taking advantage of the Mets’ current issues, Ricco said: “I’m not going to go there. It is what it is. It just puts us in a tough position. I’m not going to start anything with the Braves over this.”

Seriously.Enough Already

This is from the NYDAILYENEWS.COM. First there was the Wilpons and Madoff. . Now Beltran’s name is getting dragged in the mud. In the article, Carlos Beltran isn’t named as a defendant in a lawsuit against the restaurant he co-owns. It is just getting ridiculous with all the business dealings that are connected to Flushing. I know it isn’t as crazy as the bigger things going but its just like someone cursed the Mets(and Owners and Players) and anything they do with finances.

Sofrito, a high-end midtown Puerto Rican eatery co-owned by the Mets slugger, owes back pay and penalties to waiters, busboys, bartenders and others, court papers charge.

“This lawsuit seeks to recover minimum wages, overtime compensation, misappropriated tips, unlawful deductions” and other pay, says the suit, filed in Manhattan Federal Court.

You can read the whole story here.

Just makes me laugh.

Panorama Pics of Citi Field

I bought myself a new little camera a few weeks ago and wanted to try it out at Citi during the game.

Here is one pic of the empty Promenade seats at the beginning of the game.

This one is about the third inning.

Click the pics to make them larger.

You can see left field is empty. Half of the left field landing there is no one there either. At one point there was a Quebec Nordiques banner unfurled out there across a few rows of seats.

By the way it was freezing.I do not blame anyone for not showing up to the game tonight.  Thank you to my peeps in Sect 510 for letting me hang with you guys it was a lot of fun.
