Slow down everyone, Slow down Thor

Let’s all jump  in the Mets Police Time Machine.

Here’s the NY Times wondering if Syndergaard could throw even harder.  4/2/17

On April 5th, Thor declared this a Mets Town!

Oh boy, April 10, 2017 our boy was throwing 101 and we were creaming in the Daily News!

Uh oh, on April 27th Syndergaard got bumped.  Everything is fine though.

And on May 2nd he was out indefintiely.

So I know we’re all excited he was throwing 101 on February 26th and all.  I am glad he felt good.  I’m glad he looks nice with his shirt off and the beat got their  jollies.

But let us remember we all got excited about 101 before, and I am not pitching coach, but maybe throwing that hard in February isn’t the best idea?  Let me check with the Next Gil.

UPDATE.   Let’s check with Hodges.  Seems like he eyebrow’d the way I am.  Listen to the second Q.  Good job whichever beat person you are.

Mets sign some pitcher named A.J. Griffin

This could be A.J. Griffin. I dunno. Nobody sent me a press release

I didn’t get this press release either.  I really better get on board with the Mickey Mafia as they all get these.

Mr. Griffin is 30, he 34-21.   He is a warm body who can turns if need be.

Mets Police Morning Laziness: Beat It with articles trashing the rookies

The beat is annoying the baseballs out of me today.

SLACKISH REACTION:  WTF?  Why is the Daily News carrying water for the Mets (many fans believe this to often be the case) and why are the Mets floating that Amed Rosario may never live up to expectations?  WHAT?  He’s played two months.   Why is this team dumping on their two prospects?    Meanwhile the guy from other newspaper is using the term “Soap Opera” for Dom.

Can we not destroy two prospects in February? Jesus Feliciano Alou guys.

In other news, Tim Tebow stepped on a sprinkler and is hurt.   Jay Bruce has plantar fasciitis but he’s totally fine honestly.  Juan Lagares has a bad hammy.   Dom Smith has a strained quad.  Nimmo a hamstring.   That leaves the combined major league and minor league OF depth down to Yo, den Dekker and me.  You may recall it was just yesterday that I made fun of yet another article telling us the Mets had yet another new conditioning program.

Hey remember the BFD that Cespedes wasn’t going to golf this year?   Very strange move to put this out……

…and TDK is always in these and never looks cool. Looks like he and the Next Hodges might be bros.   And the Mets are into stylized videos this season I see.

MICKEY MAFIA:  uh oh, NJ.com is not part of the Mickey Mafia with this article discussing how Mickey and his staff are not communicating.  Come on Abbey, get with the new program, The Next Gil Hodges walks on water.  He even visited the t-shirt people and totally coincidentally was there as an HD Mets camera was filming the exact angle he walked in.  Man of the people.

HOW CAN I WATCH TODAY’S METS GAME?

  • Monday               Dave says the game is on MLB Network, 1:10pm
  • Tuesday              Astros 1:10 SNY
  • Wednesday       Nope
  • Thursday 3/1     Marlins 1:10 SNY
  • Friday 3/2           Nope
  • Saturday 3/3    Nope
  • Sunday 3/4       Nationals 1:10 WPIX

NOT LINKING:  The Next Hodges says that Cespedes might be the 2 hitter because that’s where MVPs bat.

Why wouldn’t the Mets have a consistent S in their Let’s Go Mets graphic

Let’s look at the S here.  This is from a graphic the Mets have been using.  The ball changes and says Let’s, then Go, then Mets.   Now let’s look at the t and the s.

I kind of get that they had to shrink the T to get in the apostrophe.   But why change the S?  And why can’t the T connect to the S.  I am not a graphic designer but I bet if I give Todd Radom 4 seconds he can solve this for us.

Also, I would have kept the ball lacing n Let’s.
