Welcome to “vacation filler!” I’m away with the family so @mediagoon ([email protected]) is in charge until Opening Day. He will handle all the “news” and the spring games against the Yankees and whatever other chaos appears.

Wow I can’t believe it’s April 1 already. March flew by and here we are at the start of a new month.

A source has leaked this to me, and as the story goes, on Opening Day the Mets will debut these Expos style caps and wear them every Thursday all season long to honor you know who.  I thought they would stick to the blue and orange but that shows what a fool I am.  This has to be some kind of prank, right?  It kinda sorta makes sense because of the planned ceremony, but this seems ridiculous.

I don’t even know what to say. At least it’s April 1st and that means only 4 more days until Opening Day.

When I was out at Citi this week it was pretty desolate (no need to make the joke we all did in our minds) so I took a few pictures I plan to use in a “Walking Mets” opening in a YouTube video.

I kinda like how this one came out.
