Port St. Lucie Mets bloggers bowling update

In case you missed it – I “challenged” Matt Cerrone from Mets Blog to 10 frames (please, I’m gonna bowl an 86) for fun.

Seems there’s some interest from folks in joining us.

Right now I’m trying to figure out the details…do we make it “an event?”  Do we do something for charity?  Do I add Adam Rubin, Jay Horwitz and Darren from The 7 Line from my team to get press?

All details to come…but plans are to bowl on the night of Sunday March 4th in Port St. Lucie.  If you’re initials are SF or DP I’d love to have you join us…and bring DW with you since he can bowl.

Here are some bowlers from the spring of 2011.

And while I have your attention..if you haven’t signed up for the free weekly Mets Police newsletter you can do that using the sign-up box on the right column of the site. Issue #0 will go out on Wednesday.

Mets spring tickets and concession prices up

Prices for three of the five levels of seating at spring training games have increased by $2 or $3 (11-33 percent), children’s admission for St. Lucie Mets games increased from $4 to $5, and season tickets to St. Lucie games increased from $200 to $210.

Of the 55 menu items at the concession stands, eight were increased by 50 cents, six were increased by $1 and one by $2 during the spring training and minor league seasons.

The article in TC Palm does favorably compare the prices to those of neighboring parks.

The project to replace the right-field line bleachers with premium stadium seating began the second week of November, and with just over six weeks before the March 5 opener, much work remains to be done.Workers from Straticon Construction began pouring concrete into the brick walls last week, and only the wooden framework for the new seating area was in place.
