We’ve gone from 5 bucks to 6 and Ronnie is at that annoying stage of his career where he kept changing uniform numbers. I still think of him as 44. Maybe 12 but not 15.
The 1989 New York Mets Yearbook Cover
Wow got majorly sidetracked on the series of Mets yearbook covers, but there’s no time like the present to start anew. I find it interesting that the last cover I posted was 1988….the wheels came off the series at the same time the wheels came off the franchise.
To catch everyone up, a cool guy named Angel shared his collection with me and we’ve been taking a look at each cover.
We’re now at a time period where I was more interested in girls than baseball, so I don’t recal this yearbook at all but it has the right people on the cover for sure. 5 bucks.

Well they did it again…I can’t believe they let Seaver go, and now they want me to root for these imports from other teams. Â I bet these two wind up being as overhyped as Hebner and Foster…..and yet another rookie that supposedly is the real deal. Â I’ve fallen for that before. Â It might be time to give up on this team for good.

$3.50??? Three-fifty? Â Â Losing baseball year after year and the price of the yearbook is now $3.50?
Well at least this guy Foster hit 50 home runs once, and this Bamberger guy seems like the sort of fellow who will stick with the team and never give up…perhaps this will be the year!
(Thanks again to Angel for sharing his yearbooks collection and taking all these photos)
