Mets Police Morning Laziness: Keith makes news, Wayne better then 2018 Gare, Game 1 on Facebook today

Keith Hernandez is in the news…

New York Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez had no problem with the Miami Marlins seemingly intentionally hitting Atlanta Braves rookie Ronald Acuña Jr. with their first pitch Wednesday night.

“They’re killing you. You’ve lost three games. He’s hit three home runs. You gotta hit him,”

Interesting.  Again  I have to run to the airport so can’t deep dive on this one right now.  I have mixed thoughts.

SLACKISH REACTION:  I had other stuff to do.  By the time I got the game the score was 14-1 so I didn’t bother.  Wayne got to call some Home Runs!

David Wright played baseball again.  How did he do?  CLICKBAIT!!!

NOT LINKING:  The guys at the AAIMBR say the Mets need to DO SOMETHING about Alonso.

Doubleheader today:  Today’s first game is on Facebook.   Boooo.  Second one normal SNY.

David Wright played baseball on Wednesday? How did he do? You’ll look

Another pre-airport quickie post….anyway here’s Wright walking and going 0 for 2 I think. I’m barely awake. I’m starting to worry about DW not driving the ball, but nice to see him out there.

Sterling or Scully: did Wayne Randazzo Trackwall his HR Calls? No!

Good morning,

I wish I had more time to work on this but I gotta run to the airport.

We finally got to hear Wayne play Sterling or Scully….how did he do?

Nice to see Todd Frazier, who unblocked me, hit a HR! Did you know Todd is from NJ and…you know the joke, I gotta be fast here. Not the most detailed call but not BS, which is what I am trying to get out of Gare. No BS Gare.

Verdict: Scully

Same thing. I could see a lesser annnouncer Trackwalling this one. Not my man Wayne.

Verdict: Scully

Man I wish I had more time.

Jason tweets some awesome looking throwback 2018 meets 1977 Topps Mets cards

As I mentioned earlier it is super slow……@jasoncfry tweeted the below, and I totally agree with him about the 1977 set.

Nothing.

I have been doing this for 11 seasons now, and I cannot remember an in-season week this quiet.  There is just nothing.  Nothing at all.

No circus.  No new exciting player.  No new caps.  T-Shirt guy isn’t coming out with stuff (I already covered the backpack).  #MetsFansUnited went silent again (big secret meeting Friday)

It’s a good think Keith Olbermann came along and gave us something to talk about.

Even tracking David Wright at bats isn’t tat much fun.

There’s not even the usual Cyclones lifeline.  (Come on Cyclones, whip out Galactica Night or something.)

Just….nothing.
