Todd Frazier, good guy from NJ who once played in the LLWS, unblocks local blogger

I was checking to see if my #1 Follower Noah Syndergaard still follows me – he does.  That inspired me to check out @FlavaFraz21’s account and lo and behold, I have been unblocked.

As we now have peace in our time I shall move onto other topics, but Todd I have to goof on the “Todd Frazier is from NJ and once played in the LLWS” media stuff for another few days and Williamsport looms and you know it’s gonna be crazy

Mets Police Morning Laziness: Wayne brings out the best in Keith

SLACKISH REACTION:  Wow Keith was ON last night.  I credit Wayne.  I thought Wayne did a really nice job.  My compliment to Wayne was that I wasn’t thinking at all about him.  It sounded like a Mets game, a very very comfortable Mets game.  And he had Engaged Keith, not checked out Keith.  Maybe it’s time to go from 150 Gare games to 110 next year.  Yes I just threw a rock….but a little youth in the booth (in all booths) would be a good thing.

Unfortunately no home runs, so no Sterling or Scully.

And what a beautifully quick game!!!  Not as quick as it could/should have been – we were heading toward being done by 9:25 at one point!  But stupid Orioles scored in the 8th and the Mets had a fake rally so we got to 9:45.  Boo.  Baseball is boring.

NOTHING HAPPENING:   Really nothing going on right now.  I realize I didn’t post much yesterday, and that wasn’t because I was busy, there is just nothing.     And that’s the same reason this is short this morning.

NOT LNKING: OMG the Amazing Apple Insiderized Mets Blog Report (AAIMBR) AGAIN making up roster moves the Mets should/could make,  STOP.

Here’s the details of Friday’s #MetsFansUnited (1.0) Conference Call

Mets Police has learned that the original failed #MetsFansUnited, the guys that lost the hashtag to me in April and are now trying to regroup, have a conference call scheduled for 10pm Friday.  A convenient time for sure, and past my bed time so they surely don’t want me on it.

I’m looking forward to the Frank “The Tank” Fleming Announcing event for Saturday August 25th.

I am especially impressed by the pressure that MFU1.0 is putting on the Wilpons by letting February become almost September.  At this pace the Wilpons will be forced out by 2130.

Thanks to Mets Fans United Mole for the hookup.

Mets Fans United 2.0, founded in April after these guys disappeared for two months, is of course my group of positive Mets fans who support the Mets.  Hashtag #metsfansunited.  Say hi on twitter and say something nice about the Mets and be sure to use the positive hashtag #metsfansunited!

Mets Police Morning Laziness: Keith Olbermann’s PBP wins me over.

SLACKISH REACTION: Hey after the nonsense that was Mets-Marlins, watching The One True Ace vs. the Yankees felt like actual baseball.

I kinda dug Keith Olbermann’s PBP.  I just liked the low key vibe….and KO even got to be a contestant on Sterling or Scully!  I’m totally ready to switch to a Keith, Keith and Ron booth.  I know the cool thing to do is to hate on it, but the last thing the world needs is another cookie cutter Syracuse Grad sports guy with That Sound…so I liked Keith’s sort of anti play by play.  Baseball needs more of this.

I also loved when ESPN miked up Thor for an inning.  Baseball needs to go all-in on that move.  It was great during the ASG and it was great Monday night.  Build your stars and bust up The Way We Have Been Doing Things Since 1930.

I really was enjoying myself last night…but the game was slowly paced so I bailed at 10.  Baseball needs to do better on pace of play.

Also someone named  David Wright played baseball!  Here’s how he did Monday Night!

The red hot Mets are just 16 games under .500!

Todd Frazier raised his OPS to .667.  Did you know Todd is from New Jersey and once played in the LLWS?

NOT LINKING:  The guys at the AAIMBR are writing about trading for Abreu.   937-6666 guys, stop wasting everyone’s time.

Sterling or Scully: Keith Olbermann handles play by play for Mets-Yankees. How was it?

I don’t know what the hell kind of cheap-ass sportscaster headset they had Keith Olbermann on, I didn’t even know it was him until someone told me. He didn’t sound like himself – very little bass on his voice.

Anyway, we got an early does of Sterling or Scully when Rosario homered. When the play was live I thought this call was terrible but…..

…I have changed my opinion. I kill Gare for going into stock calls, and I think KO described this one correctly. Deep to right….then he realizes it is Very Deep to Right….and its gone. No bullshit, no fake to the track to the wall.

Verdict: Scully

Now this next one…Gary, KO is cleaning your clock. This is how you do it man. Nice, simple, no bullshit forced nonsense.

There were other home runs, and I wish I had the clips to share, but I do not.

SIDEBAR: hey baseball and your partners…your sport is dying. How about you have easily accessible and shareable highlights? SIDEBAR ENDS.

I really liked Keith’s play by play. It was low key, but not that checked-out low key you get out of Gare. Again Gary has called what 30*150 games over the years – and Keith Olbermann not so many, so there is that, but I am ready to switch to a Keith, Keith and Ron booth.

Thanks Nick for the hookups.
