This seems familiar. Someone leaves the organization and gets a shot taken at them. When the Wilpons are gone the culture will change and the Mets won’t be laughingstocks playing loser lineups in August.

What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

How many of these do you think Media Goon owns?
Here are the current NL Standings as we approach 5pm
And let’s see what kind of lineup Steve’s team is starting tonight
How are any of you ok with what’s going on? This is worse than some of those bad Wilpon teams from the 2010s.
All of this has happened before and will happen again (which is why the Mets should trade Pete Alonso)
Anyone with a brain can see that Pete will go three weeks without doing a thing, then hits 4 home runs in 5 days which leads to things like this..
After enduring one of the toughest stretches of his career at the plate, Alonso is definitely back. Since picking up an RBI single in his final at-bat in a loss to the White Sox on July 20, he ranks among the league leaders with nine homers, 25 RBI, 14 extra-base hits, and a 1.187 OPS.
Following Wednesday’s win, he said it’s nice to finally see his hard work paying off.
“For the past two or three weeks I’ve been feeling really good,” he said. “I worked hard to get to where I’m at. I struggled for a really long time but I’m starting to see fruits of my labor paying off and it’s nice to be consistent and help the team win.” (via Yahoo)
It’s great that Pete is back, as the Mets continue to thrive under his leadership. Both Pete and the Mets looked great on Saturday

No that’s not your 7 year old having a meltdown, that’s a major league baseball player some of you think is “core.” Core has led to one playoff win in an era of expanded playoffs.
…
In other news, you Cohen Apologists are OK with this being a lineup the Mets charged full price for. Even the 1977 Mets played prospects they thought were the future. This is some roster filling if I have ever seen it.
This is Pravda level lane
The Mets already were doing lame things like reporting the score Mets 7, Cardinals 8 which is not how scores are done in this country, but not admitting Steve Cohen’s apparently tanking Mets gave up 21 to Atlanta is pretty petty
