If Matt Harvey chugged beverages at a Rangers hockey game…

I guess playing Sunday Night Baseball and flying charter isn’t that big of a deal if you can hang out at a hockey game drinking who knows what, instead of working out and watching game films to prepare for a big divisional game

This stuff wouldn’t happen if Wally Backman were the manager.

Mets Pete Alonso on pace for 77 Home Runs!

The future Home Run King, Pete Alonso, hit another home run last night – with 10 HRs and 23 RBIs, MVPete is on pace to hit .293 with a record shattering 77 HRs and 177 RBI!

Pete – if he can keep his dopey Fs in his pocket – is baseball’s best hope.  He can fill Citi Field while Steve plays the villain and spends money – Pete plays in New York – there’s the whole Polar Bear thing…..and he’s more interesting than Judge (who we saw last year, nobody really cared)

Break out the juiced balls and don’t ask questions – the new Home Run King is on his way!

Pete Alonso on pace to hit 72 HRs with 153 RBI!

Pete Alonso is going to have to pick up the pace if he is to become the Home Run King.  Earlier in the season he as on pace to hit 80, but with 9 HRs in 20 games he is on pace to his 72.9 – and since you can’t hit .9 of a home run, that’s “only” 72.

Hopefully a combination of warmer weather, MLB marketing, and magic baseballs will help Pete pick up the pace so he can back to The Chase For 80.

Combined with Pete’s .286 average and his 153.9 RBI pace, I think it’s safe to say Pete could win the MVP this season.
