Hey is the new Mets road alt cap the same color blue?

Osh41 started filling with my head the new Mets cap was darker.

Now Dave Howard and I had been back and forth on that with the uniforms and he convinced me that (a) lighting can make things look darker and (b) light colors next to dark colors can play tricks on your eyes.

So I bothered @mediagoon and you can decide for yourself. I say its the same.

Cool insight into fishing for prospects

Slightly off topic but I read this tweet…

…which made me want to read the original article.  I don’t share this to haw-haw the author, just to illustrate that maybe trading Player X for prospects isn’t always the best move.

But I firmly believe that Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, Burke Badenhop, Dallas Trahern, Eulogio De La Cruz and Mike Rabelo are going to be of great benefit to the Marlins before all is said and done. The consensus on Maybin and Miller are that they are can’t-miss prospects. While there are no guarantees, these two guys come about as close as you can get.

As an example, Maybin is a career .246 hitter.  That Cabrera guy, still only 31, has done pretty good for himself.

Just interesting that’s all.
