41 Amazin’ ideas for the Mets #23: We built this Citi

Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Today’s idea is from @lslade88

Play the song “We Built This City ( on rock and roll)” by Jefferson Starship over the house PA. It could be our song.   It’s Better then 15 year old techno …

When that song was a hit there were custom versions in the middle where the DJ parts go.  Maybe drop in Howie doing some calls….

…..

Here’s what I need you to do: email me ([email protected]) your ideas. Make my life easy and actually write a few paragraphs about your idea and put your name/twitter handle to it so I can just cut and paste it. I’ll post one idea a day.

Here’s what I need you not to do: waste time with “Sell the Team” or ridiculous trades or general negativity.

The goal here is to crowdsource some cool ideas, publicly post them, and then the Mets can use them or not.

Send your ideas to [email protected] – put something like CROWDSOURCING in the title so I can pick them out easily (lest you get buried in a slew of You Own This Jersey emails.) and again write a little but about your idea. “They should have Kiner’s Korner” isn’t enough. What is Kiner’s Korner? How would it work? What is your vision for it?

Moon over Miami Crowdshots 6/20

Sat down to type this post and Dice-K gives up a triple. Sitting here with 7 of the @7linearmy (me included) and I can tell this place is going to be ridiculously loud tomorrow. Hell the seven of us are louder then the rest of the crowd marlins crowd here. Great to see more mets fans here too.

Now time for crowd shots

Also got to see some signs you don’t see at citi field.

That last sign was just in the sections on field level nearer to home plate.

Popcorn refill stations???? Buy a souvenir popcorn and you can refill it for free all game.

41 Amazin’ ideas for the Mets #22: Apple trees by Citi Field

Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Today’s idea is from Kevin.

Why not take the whole apple sentimentality a bit further and plant some apple trees somewhere? Perhaps not in a place where drunk fans can climb the trees and pick the apples, but somewhere visible and viable, like how the Nationals use the cherry blossom trees in Washington. It’s a bit tricky but I think most would get a kick out of it if they found the right spot for the trees.

41 Amazin’ ideas for the Mets #21: Table with a view for an inning

Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Today’s idea is from @steck99

“Table with a view for an Inning” – use the high top table areas in CF (currently group sales) in front of shea bridge better – let people reserve those tables (no charge) for an inning so you can leave your seats, walk to CF and sit at the table with great view of field for an inning and eat something (maybe even tied to the shake shack purchase?) I assume those seats are often not sold.
