Mets and Family Guy

That little joke that one of the SNY engineers tried to play the other day when the Mets lost the opening game vs the Marlins is still gaining media traction

Heres the clip in question:

After the Mets ugly loss to the Marlins on Friday, a TV technician on SNY played what the Post calls “an insulting audio clip” from “Family Guy” over shots of the team dejectedly walking off the field, in the middle of the unhappy game recap by the broadcasters.

SNY executives were pissed off about the jab: “It was a very poor decision by an employee. The matter is being dealt with internally,” a network spokesman told the Post.

Strawberry’s Bar and Grill

I was flip flopping all day yesterday if I was going to go to Strawberry’s last night to watch the game. The7Line.com was hosting the party over there and he and Randy from Readtheapple.com convinced me to go.

First forty people to show up got wristbands for free beer and after the keg was gone from that we got to enjoy Happy Hour drinks special for the remainder of the game. Darren of the 7Line set up shop at one end of the bar with his merchandise. Good quality shirts by the way. I picked myself up the Neon Catcher shirt from Shea. There was also give aways during the game of Daryl Strawberry autographed 8×10’s and an autographed baseball.

As for Strawberry’s itself, it has some cool memorabilia and the food was pretty good. I had philly cheesesteak egg rolls and some mac and cheese. Both great. Randy and Mrs. Readtheapple had a huge shrimp platter that they enjoyed.
I have to say it was nice to meet Darren of the 7 line and Mrs Read the Apple.

Check out the 7lines blog and Store here.

Also check out Readtheapple.com too.

Mets Win

I was at  Strawberry’s Bar and Grill last night watching the game. It was nice to hear Mets fans cheering for their team and not yelling about how Beltran is selfish and lazy. Well Randy from Readtheapple.com actually was yelling out Hashtag Blame Beltran mockingly.

I am not going to recap the game because you probably watched the game or found box scores already. The one point Terry Collins came out to dispute the hit batter, I thought Colactus was going to rear his head.Even though the Mets lost the lead , I still felt that they were going to win. Call me Crazy if you want.

I will be posting pics from the party at Strawberry’s last night that was hosted by the 7line.com later today when I finally really wake up.

SNY Off Dish Network

If you any of you guys have Dish Network be glad you missed that game last night. Still no word on when or if SNY and Dish Network might reach a deal.
I really hate negotiating tactics like this. All it does is hurt the fans while SNY and Dish Network makes more money in the long run. I am all for companies making money but don’t screw over your consumer.

Updates to follow.
