Times: time to change the name of Citi Field?
The Times suggests that with the Madoff mess that perhaps Citi Field should have another name.
I can’t get worked up about that this morning. Im used to the name, let’s leave it alone for 80 years. If they start changing it every two years like some other parks (SF Giants) I will lose my mind.
Murphy’s move to second
I’m half asleep (still recovering from the weekend) so I don’t have the brain power to properly explain this fascinating WSJ article.…seems that only two players since 1900 have tried to move from 1B to 2B. One, Jackie Robinson. The other? George Kelly.
Interestingly this has only been attempted by the New York Giants, the Brooklyns and now the Mets.
I continue to predict that y’all will be in love with 28 come May. Maggie knows the deal…she sent this and several other MurphPics over which I will post once I’m not a zombie.
