NJbaseball says the incorrect Game 7 brick at Citi Field has been removed

NJ Baseball posts that he spoke to Dave Howard about the incorrect Game 7 brick and quotes Dave as saying “it may have already been removed.”   A photo suggests that it indeed has.

Great job by Dave Howard and the Mets on jumping on this one.

Great job by NJ Baseball getting the story.  Everyone click some links and give them some traffic.

Friends, this collective fan movement can and does work.   Great job by Tom in bringing the error to our attention in the first place.  Now that we’ve actually accomplished good for the day I think I’ll go outside.

Dave, I really would like to sit with you for a game.   I’m far less annoying in person.

Omar Minaya in a black Mets cap with a red NY

Mrs. Mets Police just informed me that I have to go to the egg-hunt….

…oh awesome as I typed that sentence she excused me. Woo-hoo….

…as I was about to say, check out Big League Stew to see Omar Minaya in a black Mets cap with a red NY, and wait until you see who is giving him a “what are you wearing?” face.  At least that’s what I think mystery guest is thinking.

Black and red seems an odd color combination for the GM of the New York Mets to choose. If I just moved here from Australia and knew nothing, it’s a nice looking cap…but Omar, dude, lead from the front. At least where a horrible hybrid. They may be ugly, but they are official.

I’d post the picture but the AP Police are stronger than the Mets Police so off you go, I’ll be here when you get back.

Regional Nathan’s Hot Dog contest at Citi Field on June 26th

Old blog-friend TKS brought to my attention that there will what seems like a play-in game for the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest.   Come to Citi (I almost write Shea again for the millionth time) on June 26th, win and you’re in.  I think.

For all things food check out this very cool site Scoreboard Gourmet which has the story phrased properly, and also reviews a bunch of foodage (made up word I coined) at Citi.
