YES Fluffpiece on John Sterling

I’d like to thank YES for writing this fluff-piece about John Sterling because all last night I was like…”Sterling & Suzyn.  Really?”

I don’t see how Yankee fans accept this level of broadcasting.   A Sterling call has so little to do with reality.  The Jeter home run sounded like it was 700 feet.

Spend some time here if you enjoy Mr. Sterling as much as I do.

More Hardball’s Mets Mascot Suggestions. I Say Bring Back The Mule!

While More Hardball has some fun suggestions for new Mets mascots…I think they should bring back Mettle the Mule.   Seriously.  Doesn’t a Mule sum up exactly how you feel?

I’m not sure if this actual Mettle or a photshop, but I like this guy.  Can we get him?

Who the hell picked a mule in the 70’s?  Damn this blog would have been awesome in the late 70s.

Picture Of Yankee Stadium Cafe Seating

As I said on Sunday, I’m not going to ignore the Yankees and write generic columns about Joel Youngblood.   (That’s what December is for).    We have our Yankee friend “Mr. Sunshine” (the Yankees can never do wrong) on assignment tonight and here’s what he has sent back.

This is the “Cafe Seating” the NYY’s added….”Cafe” is Latin for stick a plank where the standing room was.

That being said, it’s not awful.  There doesn’t seem to be any plexiglass and you can see the left fielder.

These are the flags blowing out to right.  He also tells me he is cold.  And Mrs. Sunshine’s hat blew away.  I’m on a leather couch drinking a beer, snuggling with a blanket and popped a Sam Adams.  Who’s laughing now?  Oh and the game is in HD.
