Guest Post: Shirts and Stairs

As always guest posts are welcome at [email protected]

First time writing in, its a great site. Big Mets fan, but frustrated by some of the things they do, just like the site is all about.

Knew you guys like to look what they are selling, but look at this tshirt………..UGLY!!! Took pic today.

I am not engineer or architect but geez look at these creepy stairs……….look like a monster movie set. What about some blue/orange padding………at least some blue paint. Depressing for an $800M stadium.

Tickets, Reyes, Delgado, Sterling.

Quiet day.

Delgado wants to come back for the last week.   That’s nice.  Here’s some pine.  There’s no point t playing him.  Let Murphy get the extra 20 at bats.

Reyes wants to come back before the end.   I guess we’ll all sleep better if we see him out there.   Sure, go for it.

Meet the Mets for Just 97 Cents a Ticket:  A nice recap of this week’s ticket scenario, and a shoutout to the Mets Police.

I’m still on my John Sterling kick….my theory is that he isn’t even at the game.  The below is from the fun blog It is High, It Is Far, It Is Caught.  It’s the call that made me convinced he isn’t there, and Suzyn is just hitting random tapes of old home run calls.  Swishalicious, really?

Someone else did it over the off-season, but the “what if John Sterling did Mets games” is always fun to see what lame nicknames we can come up with.   Here’s an easy one to get you started…say Carlos Belt-ran hits a home run.  Go.

The New York Mets, who haven’t finished higher than ninth in their seven previous seasons, moved into first place in the Eastern Division of the National League last night by sweeping a double-header from the Montreal Expos, 3-2 in 12 innings and 7-1.

Be An Intern For The New York Mets

The Mets just sent this out…
Short version….high school students between 13 and 18 write an essay describing why you want to break into baseball with the Mets..someone will get a one month intership.
What’s interesting to me is that the contest targetted at 13-18 year olds is asking for a lot of information that one might consider database building.
Kids, the Mets Police remind you to check with your parents before giving your home address and cell # to anyone.
